Providing a study on social entrepreneurship in current times is not just a matter of searching for answers just out of academic curiosity. This is a task that implies delving into one of the pillars upon which a new economic model is built. Our approach on social entrepreneurship is framed in the InnovaT: social innovation for youth entrepreneurship programme; this is a programme directed at the youth from several countries in order to foster social entrepreneurship in their communities through training and capacity-building, as well as the exchange of innovative methodologies. Innovat was launched by Jovesolides Spain and Red Creactiva at the end of 2015, with a duration of 18 months. The main objectives in the programme are youth skills development, promoting social entrepreneurship among young people, and spreading social innovation.
